The new trend seems to be releasing Original Sound Track (OST) of successful movies. Karthi-starrer Kaithi was the latest to join the list of many such films which had its soundtrack made available on YouTube. The next movie to join the bandwagon is Vetrimaaran’s critically-acclaimed Dhanush-starrer Asuran which had Manju Warrier, Pasupathy and Ken among others played lead roles. The makers announced that it will be released on November 28.
Apart from the performances of its principle cast and cinematography, one of the many things in the film which received appreciation was its background music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The music director teamed up with the Vetri-Dhanush combination after Aadukalam which was released in 2011. Asuran, which is also said to be the highest grosser in Dhanush’s career, is now all set to be remade in Telugu with Venkatesh in the lead role.
Interestingly, Dhanush’s Yaaradi Nee Mohini was the remake of Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule which had Venkatesh in the lead. Kalaippuli Thanu, who bankrolled the film, is going to produce the Telugu version, too. It’s heard that Srikanth Addala may call the shots in the remake version.
