Prabhudheva’s directorial ‘Dabangg 3’ has been highly affected by external law and order issues in the country. The film which features Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Saiee Manjrekar in lead roles is a prequel to the other two parts of the franchise. It depicts the back story of the Robinhood aka Chulbul Pandey. The third instalment of the franchise has garnered Rs 22-23 crore on the first day and has minted the same amounted of business even on the second day.

As per the latest report of BoxofficeIndia.com, the film saw good growth of 30% on Sunday with collections set to be around 29 crore nett. This is because of the stabilization of the law and order issues. However still, the film would have lost a reasonable amount of business. The major areas Delhi and UP circuit are highly affected.Over the weekend the film has minted around Rs.73 crore nett plus. If it was a normal weekend the Salman Khan starrer would have minted around Rs.85 crore nett. Even though it is an instalment of the popular ‘Dabangg’ franchise the story of the third instalment has failed to impress critics as well as audiences. While some of Bhaijaan’s loyal fans are loving his stint others are slamming it.

The report further added that the film might manage to sustain on Monday. But the business of Rs.73 crore nett weekend with these external problems is not bad at all. It is the fourth-best film of the year after ‘War’, ‘Bharat’ and ‘Saaho’ (Hindi) and the second-best non-holiday weekend after ‘Saaho’ (Hindi).

The weekend numbers are said to be better than films like ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Total Dhamaal’, ‘Kesari’, ‘Super 30’ and ‘Housefull 4’ even though it has lost around 15% of its weekend earnings.

The film can also get the advantage of the upcoming holiday ‘Christmas’ if it sustains tomorrow and the overall external conditions get normal.
