The shooting of ‘Indian 2’ had to be halted on February 19 after a crane accidentally fell at the shooting location in EVP Film City, Chennai, killing three people. Nine others were injured and have been under treatment at a hospital. A case was filed against Lyca Productions, the producer of ‘Indian 2’, which has now been shifted to the CBI. Now, the latest report according to an online portal is that ‘Indian 2’ director Shankar was interrogated for more than 2 hours by the CBI.
As per the report, a summon was sent to director Shankar and actor Kamal Haasan since they were present at the place of the accident. Shankar appeared at the CBI Office at Vepery in Chennai this morning and the officials interrogated him for more than 2 hours on the case. However, details of questions that were asked to Shankar during the investigation have not yet been officially released.
Shankar shared a tweet on his Twitter account about how he had been in shock since the day of the accident. He mentioned that he had not been able to sleep since then and wished that it had been him instead of the three crew members who lost their lives. He actually said that he wished the crane had fallen on him. Also, he shared his condolences and prayers for the families of three deceased.
