Top seed Rajdeep Sarkar struck a brilliant victory over Ayan Pal with black pieces. In a clash between Mitrabha Guha and Rupam Mukherjee former edged out his opponent in a enterprising game.
Third seed of the tournament Koustav Chatterjee tamed his opponent Soham Dey in a game involving Alekhine defense. Sanket Chakravorthy halted the dream run of the visiting player from Philipinnes Srihaan Poddar in an interesting battle.
In a prestigious race for the Best school award, Aditya Academy (Senior Secondary) School heads the list with 18 points, followed by South Point High School with 17 points and Vivekananda Mission School with 16 points.
