A grand chariot adorned
with 1,001 bells and accommodate around 1,000 people is getting ready for Vikram’s historical uocomung film Mahavir Karna
Vikram & RS Vimal’s ‘Mahavir Karna’ launched at Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram recently.
The film, as the title suggests, is a historical on Karna, who was a close associate of Duryodhana and the Kauravas in the Mahabharata epic. It is said the film is helmed by Malayalam director RS Vimal, is to be released in Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.
The sources said pooja was performed for a holy bell that is to be attached to a huge chariot being built for the movie.
It is also said that the grand chariot will be adorned with 1,001 bells and can accommodate around 1,000 people.
The film is bankrolled by New York-based production house United Film Kingdom. The shooting will commence in January 2019.
On speaking about the film the Director said that “Mahavir Karna starts from the land of Sree Padmanabha… Received a holy Temple Bell in front of Sree Padmanabha which is going to be a part of the 30 feet high chariot of Karna in the movie.
From today we have started building the Chariot… I thank Sri Suresh Gopi MP, Sri B Unnikrishnan, Sri Indrans, Sri B Jayamohan for receiving the holy temple bell with me. Also I thank Tantri Sri Gosala Vasudevan Nampoothiri, temple executive officer Sri V Ratheendran (IAS), Sri Babilu Sankar, Sri Anand Kumar DySP and all my well wishers.”
