After working with photographer L Ramachandran last year to bring out the concept shoot titled ‘Human’, Vijay Sethupathi has again collaborated with him for another — ‘Man of Fusion’. Ask Ramachandran about it and he replies, “Roshna Ann Roy, a makeup artist and costume designer from Kerala, had been requesting Vijay Sethupathi for an opportunity to work with him. And when he agreed to do it, I was also taken on board as I had already worked with him and he was happy with those shoots.”
So, why is this one titled ‘Man of Fusion’? “He carries off three different looks in this series. We’ve worked out three different costumes and three different sets for the shoot. In the first look, he is seen sporting a beret along with a retro outfit. It’s totally a laid-back look with a few top buttons of his shirt left undone. Next one is a suave look. Accessories like suspenders and a leather bag add to the look. And in the third one, he is seen sporting a formal look, wearing a suit. And his grey hair is styled and highlighted by making it look wet. He’s someone who can pull off all different looks.”
All this, the actor completed in two hours, says Ramachandran. “He’s full of energy and quick. We’ve to catch up with him. Also, it’s amazing that he obliged a fan’s request and came forward to do this concept photoshoot. It only shows how humble he is. Makkal Selvan is an apt title for him,” signs off Ramachandran with a smile.
