The makers of Vikram’s next film, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, had officially announced on Monday that cricketer Irfan Pathan will play a crucial role in the movie. The cricketer, on Tuesday, expressed happiness for having signed the project through his Twitter account, in both Tamil and English.
He surprised many when his first tweet in Tamil came up, in which he thanked his fans, Vikram, project’s composer AR Rahman, Ajay and other crew members. What made the tweet interesting was addressing tweeples as ‘pullaingo’.A few minutes later, he tweeted in English, which read, “Warm welcome to all the people out there. Thank you for the amazing response. Am very much looking forward to join with Vikram, ARR & director Ajay. Keep continuing your support. Thank you. Let’s enjoy together.”
As per a source, Irfan will be seen essaying a Turkish character and he already knows a few Tamil words. Ajay had visited the cricketer at the latter’s house in Vadodara to narrate him the story and convinced him to take up the role. Irfan said that he has watched a few films of Vikram and considers it an honour to work along with the actor.
