Kalasalingam University in partnership with Siemens has laiunched new integrated engineering courses and they were launched at a online event.
Launching the courses Vice President Dr .S.Shasi Anand in his Presidential address said,the New Integrated and Industrial collaborative program launched in the Department of Mechanical engineering and Automobile engineering.and there will be in specialisations in three tracks viz, Mechatronics Robatics and Automation, Digital manufacturing and including 4.0 and Automotive design and Engineering.
The Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Programmes are accredited by NBA and ABET, US for six years ,is the first in India,Vice President added.
Manoj Banthia,Director -services,Siemens, launched the new integrated programme with Siemens in Mechanical engineering and Automobile Engineering. By this Academic Partnership ,KARE students will be trained by Siemens executives in the Siemens advanced technology and “Practical training ” also imparted to students .Students will be given live projects and internships at various industries as part of this collaboration.
“Presentation skill” will be developed to expose the same, the Siemens Director spoke on that occassion.Faculty also to visit Siemens and trained for train the students “job ready ” in their academic periods itself and it will be the main objective of the corporate, he also said.The Vice Chancellor Dr.R.Nagaraj and the Registrar Dr V.Vasudevan gave felicitations.Dean Dr JT. Winowlin jappes welcomes the gathering and Dr S. Rajesh,Hod gave vote of thanks in this on line function .
