Three people were deceased and ten injured on the set of Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film ‘Indian 2’ after a crane on which they were sitting crashed to the ground. Now, actor Kamal Haasan visited the hospital where the bodies of the three deceased are kept and paid his condolences. The veteran actor also addressed the media at the time and requested for safety precautions while shooting films. He also announced Rs 1 crore for the families of the three people who died on the sets of ‘Indian 2’.
While acknowledging the fact that one crore was not equivalent to the lives lost, Kamal Haasan said that he knew the hard work of the three in the film industry was immeasurable. He added that he takes the loss as one of the losses in his family. Kamal Haasan said that he feels that every person should be given equal and proper safety so that these kinds of accidents don’t happen in the future. He also added that he knew the pain of facing unfortunate injuries since he had faced many in his life. The actor then said that he and the director escaped the accident in a matter of seconds, otherwise someone else would have been speaking at this time instead of him.
The accident on the sets of ‘Indian 2’ has saddened the Tamil cinema industry, and many people including Kollywood personalities have been sharing their reactions to the incident on social media.
