The trailer of Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal starrer ‘Comali’ was released recently. While the film revealed that Jayam Ravi is a patient who has just returned from a coma after fourteen long years, the trailer has got the makers into trouble as it takes slight dig at Rajinikanth’s entry into politics.
At the end of the trailer, there is a scene in which Yogi Babu is trying to convince Jayam Ravi, who has just woken up from his coma, that it is 2019. Yogi Babu goes on to switch on the television that shows a news clip of Superstar Rajinikanth declaring that he is entering politics. Jayam Ravi immediately says that he cannot be cheated and that it’s 1996, implying that Rajinikanth has been teasing about entering politics from that time.
This has not gone down well the fans and many on the film industry. Interestingly, Kamal Haasan who has also entered politics seems to have taken Rajinikanth’s side and is apparently unhappy with the trailer. Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Neethi Maiam representative Murali Appas has shared that Kamal after seeing the ‘Comali’ trailer immediately called producer Ishari Ganesh and told him that he did not find the troll on Rajinikanth as humor worthy.
