Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan’s 91st birthday fell on Tuesday, and his fans indulged in various activities across the state to mark the occasion. Kamal Haasan is the prominent person among the many actors the legend shares bonhomie with. The duo had shared the screen in Bharathan’s Thevar Magan which released in 1992. Ulaganayagan had always expressed his love and respect for Sivaji and told often that the latter is like a father figure to him. On Tuesday morning, Kamal took to Twitter to remember the greatest artiste Kollywood have ever witnessed.
He posted, “Like all naive fans of Nadigar Thilakam, I too believed his human body would be immortal like his body of work. After so many years, his sons and fans are still trying to come to terms with him not being there. Happy birthday Nadigar Thilakam alias Appa.”
Many stars remembered Sivaji and expressed their love and affection through different posts on their social media accounts. V Narayanasamy, the Chief Minister of Puducherry, was the only noted politician who tweeted about the actor. He paid a tribute by pouring flowers on his statue.
