Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) in association with IAP Intensive Care Chapter and IAP Coimbatore Chapter organized for the 20th national conference on Pediatric Intensive Care (NCPIC 2018).
Addressing at the four day conference, Organising chairman Dr.S.Thangavelu said the conference deliberates on the latest development on the Pediatric Intensive Care, with update on knowledge and skills of all Pediatric Intensivists and Pediatricians. A galaxy of renowned national and international speakers grace this event alongwith other delegates from India and abroad.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Thavamani D Palaniswami – Vice Chairman, KMCH. said that the objective of the conference is to have an amalgamation of Medical Scientists of various specialties at a common forum to bring about exchange of innovative ideas. Pediatric Intensive Care is a vast and ever-expanding discipline. We are confident that this event will definitely provide an opportunity for the medical professional to further enhance their knowledge in all aspects.
Dr.K. Rajendran – HOD, Department of Pediatric, KMCH and Organising Secretary of NCPIC 2018, while elaborating about the conference said, the need of the hour is to make specialized ‘ Intensive care’ treatment available to all the corners of the nation, and the theme for the conference has been chosen as ‘Reach the Unreached’. The scientific programme consists of workshops, talks, and interactive panel discussions, research paper presentations to cater to the needs of practicing pediatricians, specialized Intensivists and trainees.
And there were a series of workshops on Basic Ventilation, Advanced Ventilation, Renal replacement therapy in PICU, Pediatric Ecmo, Simulation, Ultrasound & Echo, Critical Care Nursing, EPIC Course followed by Pre-conference CME that dealt with basic and advanced critical care.
Further, the meet had eminent speakers from India and abroad, who shared their wealth of knowledge with the participants. Around 400 delegates from various parts of India attended the conference.
