Mithali Raj will lead the India women’s team in the ODI series at home against South Africa, the BCCI announced. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead Indian T20 squad for the first three matches in the six-match series.
The team was named by the All-India Women’s Selection Committee, after a meeting at the Cricket Centre.
Harmanpreet will be Mithali’s deputy in the ODIs, while Srmiti Mandana is the vice-captain for the T20s.
The five T20Is in the Paytm series against the tourists will be played under lights in Surat, while the 50-over format will be day games in Vadodara. The home series will start with T20 games in Surat, starting September 24. The ODI games in Vadodara, will start from October 9.
