Suriya supports Jyothika’s opinion about hospitals

Jyothika spoke on various topics at a popular private awards ceremony held a few months ago. The event was recently telecast on television, and Jyothika’s speech about donating to hospitals the way we donate to temples became controversial. Following this, many people on the internet began commenting in support as well as against the actress. But as expected, her husband Suriya has come forward in support of his wife Jyothika and has issued a statement regarding the same.

In the statement, Suriya has quoted a popular saying, ‘Wind does not allow the tree to be calm’ and compared it with social media discussions. Jyothika’s long speech from the award ceremony has now become a debate on social media. Some people are reportedly taking Jyothika’s statement that schools and hospitals should be treated like temples in a negative way despite the same view having been expressed by spiritual leaders like Vivekananda in the past. He too had once said that helping people was like giving an offering to God. He has also said that some people do not know how to receive good thoughts and listen to good stories, adding that people of all religions should welcome the idea that schools and hospitals should be the place where the Lord should be. He has also expressed that even during the Coronavirus outbreak, the sight of people helping those in need has given him a lot of hope and happiness. Among other things, the actor has also said that he wants to teach his children that religion is beyond humanity, and feels happy about the support that he and Jyothika have got from their fans.

Meanwhile, Suriya’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’ has been delayed for release due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, there were reports recently that Jyothika’s next release ‘Ponmagal Vanthal’, which is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment may be released on an OTT platform soon.
