Actor Thalaivasal Vijay, who had been holed up at his home for the last four months due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown, is all set to begin the shoot for his next Bollywood film, Bell Bottom. The team took off to the UK on a chartered flight from the Mumbai airport on Thursday.
For Vijay, this was a unique experience altogether. “It’s a thrilling experience flying during a pandemic. The entire airport resembled a bio-war zone with people wearing PPE suits and visors. Unlike in the earlier days, there was no one to receive us at the airport. We had to carry our own luggage and do everything on our own. The makers have chalked out a thorough plan for the safety of the team. We will undergo a mandatory quarantine before we begin shooting. We will have a doctor on the set as well,” reveals the actor.
Talking about the film, Vijay says that though he cannot reveal much about his role, it will be a crucial extended cameo. “This is my second straight Hindi film after Junglee, and I am all excited. I came on board after an audition and since then, I have been working on my character at home. The film is based on an untold true story.”
