Arjun Das has been flooded with several congratulatory messages ever since he gave that intense performance in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Kaithi. Today, he will be swamped with more messages as the actor joins the cast of Lokesh’s #Thalapathy64. It was reported earlier that Malayalam actor Antony Varghese will be part of the film. However, due to date issues, the Jallikattu actor had to opt out. And now, Arjun has replaced him. An ecstatic Arjun says, “It is a dream-come-true moment to work with Vijay sir so early in my career. I will be forever grateful to Lokesh for casting me in the film. I am having mixed emotions; the feeling will sink in only when I begin shooting for the film.”
Arjun says that this opportunity took him by surprise. “I got a call from Lokesh one day. He simply said, ‘Vaa machi’. When Lokesh calls you, you don’t ask any questions. I am on board,” smiles Arjun. Arjun will be shooting for the film from mid-December. The actor says that he has been getting a lot of offers after acting in Kaithi. “But like I mentioned earlier, I am careful about the choices I make. Now that I am doing #Thalapathy64, I won’t take up anything until the shoot and dubbing are over. Kumki 2 and Andhaghaaram, too, are in the pipeline for release,” he signs off.
