Like in the last Plus Two examination results, government aided schools in the Tirupur Educational District has set yet another record of finding first place this year, with a pass percentage of 98.53 in the Tenth standard Public Examination held in March. The Vellore District schools have made the lowest pass percentage of 89.98, according to the release from the Board.
According to the 10th results released today by the Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education, the Ramnad District has come in second place with the pass percentage of 98.45 and Namakkal district recording again a record of 88.74 % pass.
Around 9,76,019 students from various schools who appeared for the 10th board examination from the Tamil Nadu State and Union Territory of Pudhucherry, included 4,69,289 boys and 4,68,570 girl students thus putting the total pass percentage as 95.2. The pass percentage of the girl this year was around 97, which is over 3.7 % of the pass percentage of the boys, who have all made a record of 93.3 %.
Students from around 12,548 schools wrote the examination. Around 6100 schools this year have made a record of 100 % pass, according to the release from the Board of Secondary Education.
Out of about 4816 differently-abled persons who appeared for the examination , 4395 students have passed, the release further adds.
In a startling revelation, around 110 prisoners who are undergoing imprisonment from various jails too qualified in the examination, while a total of 152 of them appeared.
This year the government aided schools have made a record pass percentage of 94.53 while the government schools made it as 92.48 %. But the co-educational schools have made a total pass percentage of 95.42 %. The girl students outnumbered boys with a record of 96.89 % passes against 88.94 passes by boys .
Matriculation Schools students this year have made a record of 99.05 % pass, the release further adds.
