TN CM inaugurates 40 e-auction centres in Salem

Chennai, Dec.13:
Chief Minister Edapadi K.Palaniswami yesterday declared open by video conference at the Secretariat 40 e-auction centres on behalf of the small scale and medium industries set up at a cost of Rs.25 lakhs at Salem Starch and Sago Manufacturers Association ( Sagoserve) in Salem.
The association has 381 manufacturing units under it hailing from Salem, Namakkal, Erode,, Dharmapuri, Tiruchi, Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai districts. The e-auction will enable them to get a fair price for their produce. Manufacturers from any part can participate in the online auction. The Chief Minister also declared open a THADCO branch building in Madurai built at a cost of Rs.25 lakhs.
Rural Development Minister Benjamin, Chief Secretary Girija Vaidhyanathan, SMSCE department secretary Dharmendra Pratap and others were present on the occasion.
