Elyments, India’s first ever social media super-app was E-launched yesterday by the Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu in the presence of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar, humanitarian and founder of the Art of Living.
‘India is the hub of IT professionals and I am happy to note that more than one thousand IT professionals, who are also the volunteers of the Art of Living have come together in the creation of Elyments. With so much Indian talents we can expect even more in the near future,’ said Venkaiah Naidu while launching the app.
This newly launched app enables users to connect with friends and family in a creative way. For instance, it comes with a camera feature that has built-in filters and augmented reality (AR) characters. The app also has messaging and group chatting capabilities. Users can also get news updates about a variety of topics from across the country. This app is available in eight Indian languages. Keeping security of the users in mind, the app comes with features such as end-to-end encryption, which ensures that users data ‘remains safe.
Sri Sri Ravishankar while speaking said, “The credit goes to the young team that came out with this app. A few months ago when I asked them how long it will take to create such an app, they told me at least two years. When I told them I wanted it by Guru Purnima, they were shocked. But, somehow we have managed to launch it on the day of Guru Purnima. That is the power of youth. They can make the impossible possible.”
The launch was graced by Patanjali Yogapeeth Sri Baba Ramdev, Minister for Tamil Official Language and Culture K.Pandiarajan, MP Hemamalini, Mohan Das Pai and many other dignitaries.
