Chennai, Apr 26:
Chief minister and AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami will commence election campaign for bypoll to four assembly seats from May 1. He will begin the campaign from Sulur constituency in support of party candidate V P Kandasamy.
A party statement said the chief minister would campaign until May 14. He will be in Aravakurichi for two days on May 5 and 13, seeking votes for VV Senthilnathan. Senthilnathan is party’s Karur district Ilaignar Pasarai and Ilam Pengal Pasarai secretary.
Palaniswami will move onto Thiruparankundram on May 6 and 11, where Avaniyapuram area secretary S Muniyandi is in fray. In Ottapidaram, the CM will campaign for former MLA P Mohan on May 7 and 12, before moving onto Sulur again on May 14.
In another release, the party leadership announced change of functionaries for electioneering in Aravakurichi, Ottapidaram and Sulur segments. Perambalur and Ariyalur district functionaries will take care of Aravakurichi, while Tiruvannamalai and Cuddalore West district functionaries will take care of Ottapidaram and Sulur respectively.
