Nashik, Aug 13:

We are people who walk with friends and do not betray friends. Also, Congress state president Nana Patole has asserted that we are working to connect and BJP, which is our main opponent, is working to break the party. Patole interacted with the media when he came to Nashik today on the occasion of Azadi Gaurav Yatra. At that time he was speaking.

Speaking on this occasion, he said, Nitish Kumar has left the Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar. People are moving away from BJP. Patole said that the people associated with Congress are still with the party and since Congress is the party of the people, definitely the people are with the Congress.

Patole further said that Mahavikas Aaghadi was formed in adverse circumstances in Maharashtra. In the interest of Maharashtra, Sonia Gandhi agreed to Mahavikas Aaghadi decision. Our (congress) party leader Ashok Chavan went to the coordination meeting of Mahavikas Aghadi. Balasaheb Thorat and I are on a pada yatra. Actually the meeting was expected to be held on the 16th. However, Patol also clarified that if the allies do not want to follow the formalities, it is fine and there is no force on anyone
