Irfan Pathan, who will be making his acting debut with Imaikaa Nodigal filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu’s upcoming Vikram-starrer, took to Twitter to announce that the first schedule of the film’s shoot has been completed. He further, thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for helping him complete his first step in acting.
“Greetings (Vanakkam) All.. Thanks to all Tamilians for helping my first step in acting.. First schedule completed successfully.. I’m waiting to see everyone again..,” the cricketer tweeted in Tamil and English, along with a working still from the film.
Irfan Pathan would be playing a significant character of Turkish origin in the movie, the director had revealed earlier. “We were looking for someone who could pass off as Turkish, is athletic and well-known. I happened to see a couple of Dubsmash videos by Irfan Pathan and thought he would be apt for the role. So, I met him and spoke to him about the film. He was kicked about it and expressed his interest, but also admitted that he wasn’t sure if he could act. He kept asking me if he would be right for the role. But I did all the convincing and eventually, he agreed,” Ajay said in the interview.The upcoming thriller would be Vikram’s 58th film. Vikram’s upcoming releases include Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram, which is currently in its post production stages.
