It’s known to all that the hit Malayalam film, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, is being remade in Tamil. A new report says that the film will have Sasikumar in one of the lead roles. While Sasikumar is expected to play Biju Menon’s role, Arya was rumoured to be essaying the role of Prithviraj. However, Arya has now confirmed that he is not part of the film.
In Ayyappanum Koshiyum, Biju Menon played the role of a police officer Ayyappan Nair, while Prithviraj played Koshi Kurien, a retired army officer. The film was about the story of two heroes, who were having a series of fights over a minor issue. The film was directed by Sachy.
Sasikumar, who was last seen in the sequel of Naadodigal, will also be playing in the remake of Bhagayaraj’s Mundhanai Mudichu.
Earlier, it was reported that the Tamil remake rights were bought by producer Kathiresan, who has produced films like Dhanush’s Aadukalam and Siddharth’s Jigarthanda.
Meanwhile, it was also reported that the film’s Telugu remake rights went to producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi.
