BJP allots 16 seats to Nitish, to contest 17

Patna, Mar 19:

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Monday announced its seat-sharing plan for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Bihar.

As per the announcement, the BJP will be contesting 17 seats, while Janata Dal United, led by Nitish Kumar, will fight for 16 seats.

The two other parties, Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morchan, will be contesting in one seat each.

The announcement was made at Party headquarters in New Delhi, in the Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary, party general secretary Vinod Tawad, Raju Tiwari, Bihar State president, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and other senior leaders.

“NDA will contest all the seats in Bihar with full strength, and we will win all the seats,” Vinod Tawade said.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP and JD(U) contested 17 seats each. The NDA had swept the general election last time, with the BJP winning all 17 seats and the JD) clinching 16.
