Criminals rule roost in Bihar: Strategist Kishore

Patna, Jan 8:

Noted poll strategist and founder of “Jan Suraj” Prashant Kishore on Sunday alleged that law and order had collapsed in Bihar as crimes increased 24 percent last year.

Prashant Kishore also popularly known as PK told media persons that law and order had totally collapsed in Bihar and criminals were striking at their will. Liquor ban had failed and a large number of people were engaged in peddling of liquor creating a parallel economy and also an illegal source of earnings for policemen, he pointed out.

Hesaid illegal mining of sand and open sale of ration released for distribution among poor through public distribution system had also become rampant in Bihar. These are new sorts of jobs created in Bihar, he quipped.

PK saidcrimes in Bihar had increased 24 percent last year. Criminals involved in illegal liquor trade and illegal sand mining were getting patronage of police, bureaucrats andtheir political masters, he alleged.
