‘Delhi Tourism Walk Festival’


Delhi, Feb 18:
Delhi Tourism Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj inaugurated the ‘Delhi Tourism Walk Festival’ at the Mehrauli
Archaeological Park on February 17 ushering in a month-long celebration of the city’s rich history and
vibrant culture. Around 50 historical sites will host guided tours for the general public offering insights
city’s cultural heritage, according to an official statement.
Tourists and culture enthusiasts are invited to join these guided explorations of Delhi’s historic marvels,
culinary delights, and architectural splendours all through the month. The festival kicked off with a guided
walk at the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, which offers an immersive experience to participants.
These guided walks, led by licensed historians, scholars, storytellers, and guides authorised by the
Ministry of Tourism, aim to provide an in-depth exploration of Delhi’s diverse heritage and cultural
significance.
With its rich tapestry of civilisations and cultures, Delhi offers a unique opportunity to uncover its past
through the Delhi Tourism Walk Festival. With over 50 historical locations included, participants can
explore sites such as Malcha Mahal, Ferozeshah Kotla and many more, each of which offer a unique
glimpse into Delhi’s history.
