DLitt honour for MIT World Peace University founder

Pune:

Founder-president of MIT World Peace University and head of UNESCO, Prof Dr Vishwanath Karad will leave for United Kingdom, United States of America and France, along with a nine-member team, from April 18 to 30.

Briefing about tour in a press conference here on Sunday, he said that on April 25, he will be conferred with the honorary degree of DLitt for his long-dedicated service to education and humanity.

Before that, on April 19, Dr Karad will address a roundtable on ‘Value-Based Education’ at Oxford, he said and informed that in this conference, a special proposal of the Indo-British Global Education Managing Council based on the principles of value-based global education will be presented.

Next day, on April 20, a meeting will be held at Antley and Reed Hall in the House of Lords of British Parliament, where eminent British philosophers, academics, thinkers, social workers and dignitaries will discuss Indo-British principles of global education based on values, he added.
