IndiGo begins operations from Ayodhya


UP, Jan 7:
IndiGo has initiated services from the newly inaugurated Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in
Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The inaugural flights between Delhi and Ayodhya are set to commence on
January 6, 2024, followed by daily operations starting January 10, 2024.
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, stating,
“We are pleased to kickstart operations between Delhi and Ayodhya, marking our 86th domestic
destination and the 118th overall destination in the 6E network.
We also anticipate connecting Ahmedabad and Mumbai to this sacred city in the upcoming weeks. As
India’s leading carrier, we are committed to providing seamless connectivity across our 6E network, both
domestically and internationally, ensuring affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel
experiences for our customers.”
In a recent update, IndiGo temporarily halted flight operations in specific locations due to adverse
weather conditions. The airline communicated via the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), mentioning
the impact on flight operations in Pantnagar, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Patna.
