JDU pushes for quicker seat sharing among I.N.D.I.A. bloc

Patna, Jan 16:

Janata Dal United (JDU) on Monday reiterated its demand for seat sharing at the earliest among constituents of alliance I.N.D.I.A., saying delay would adversely affect prospects of all allies in the bloc.

Senior JDU leader and Bihar Finance Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary told mediapersons here that his party had been demanding since long to settle seat sharing issue as soon as possible.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had initiated the move in June last year to unite all opposition parties at national level but desired result was still not visible except alliance I.N.D.I.A. taking its shape, he added.

“Post of convenor of alliance I.N.D.I.A. for Chief Minister is not so important and he has maintained that settling seat sharing issue soon would be of more importance for bright prospect of alliance INDIA,” Chaudhary said this while responding to queries of mediapersons on refusal to accept the post of convenor of the alliance by Kumar in a recently held virtual meeting of the bloc.

Any further delay in seat sharing would definitely affect adversely the prospect of all parties of alliance I.N.D.I.A., he noted.

The JDU leader said it was a different matter that leaders of some other parties thought otherwise and in their opinion, it was still not so much delay. After final decision on seat sharing, it would be easy in launching campaign for Lok Sabha election, he pointed out.
