The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD) will organise annual Brahmotsavam of Sri Kodandaramaswami temple on a grand scale from April 5-13 with Ankurarpanam fete on April four. Sri Kodandaramaswamy Temple is one of the famous temples, after Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati which is dedicated to Lord Rama an incarnation of Vishnu along with Sita and Lakshmana.

TTD joint executive officer (JEO) Veerabrahmam said the festivities will begin with Dwajarohanam on April five and there will be spectacular Vahana Sevas in morning and evening.

He said the highlight of Brahmotsavam festivities will be the majestic Garuda Vahana Seva on April nine evening, which would attract large crowds in view of the Ugadi festival.

Among others, Hanumanta Vahana on April 10 and Chakra ‘snanam’ on April 13 will be held heralding the conclusion of the Brahmotsavam celebrations, he informed.

The JEO has instructed all departments to coordinate in preparations for Anna Prasadam, cultural programmes, security, drinking water, buttermilk and in both floral decorations and colourful lighting.

He also instructed officials to make arrangement of ambulances, primary health centres, SVBC for live telecast, commentators of Vahana Sevas, distribution of Ramakoti books, deploy adequate number of srivari Sevakulu, coordination with local police for traffic regulation.

TTD will organise Sri Rama Navami utsavam from April 17-19 and also the annual Teppotsavam fete from April 21-23, he added.
