Muktidam Temple Abode of many gods & goddesses in Nashik

Muktidham Temple is located at Deololi Gaon in the suburbs of Nashik. The temple complex was built by the late Sri Jayram Bhai Bytco in 1971. The temple is the abode of many gods and goddesses. The shrine displays a replica of 12 Jyotirlingams in India.

Muktidham Temple was built with donations made by Mr. J. D. Chauhan-Bytco (late), a local industrialist. The temple is privately operated through the trust of J.D. Chauhan-Bytco.

Architecture

The temple is a magnificent piece of architecture made with white marble from Makran in Rajasthan. The walls of the Krishna temple (inside) have paintings depicting scenes from the life of Krishna and the epic Mahabharata. The paintings were done by renowned painter Raghubir Mulgoankar. Unique to this temple are the 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita written on the walls.

Deities

Apart from Jyotirlingas and the temple of Krishna, there are also idols of Hindu gods and goddesses like Vishnu, goddess Lakshmi, Rama, Lakshman, Devi Sita, Hanuman, Durga and Ganesh.

Morning puja starts at 6:00 a.m. onwards.

Festival

Thousands of Hindu devotees visit Muktidham Temple during the Kumbh Mela.The temple complex also houses a dharamshala (guest house with dormitory type of accommodation), which can accommodate at least 200 pilgrims.
