Puneri Paltan continued their brilliant form as they registered a 54-18victory over Telugu Titans in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 onMonday.
Speaking about the match, Puneri Paltan’s Head Coach BC Rameshsaid, “We decided to play patiently at the beginning of the game. If weplayed too aggressively then the match could’ve gotten close. Captain Aslam Inamdar toldme that we didn’t need to take any risks and the players playedsensibly throughout the game.” While Aslam Inamdar andMohit Goyat are primarily in the team for their raiding abilities, theyalso contributed to the defence unit with 5 tackle points against theTitans. When asked about their defensive abilities, the Head Coach said, “Aslam and Mohit have put in efforts to improve as defenders on theirown. Aslam stopped Pawan Sehrawat from taking bonus points two or three times in the match.” Puneri Paltan are currently at the top ofthe table with 7 wins from 8 games.
Speaking about the team’s tremendousform this season, captain Aslam Inamdar said, “Our team is coordinatingwell on the mat and the defenders have been pulling successful tacklesconsistently. The raiders are also supporting the defence unit and theconfidence is high within our camp. Our team combination is working wellfor us.” Inamdar further added, “We’ll continue to playthe same way in the upcoming matches as well. Every match is a challengefor us. We cannot take any team loosely. We’ll keep giving it our bestand achieve our goals in the end.” Puneri Paltan will be next in action when they take on UP Yoddhas here on Wednesday.
