Stalin wraps up Spain tour with Rs. 540 cr investment from Edibon

Chennai, Feb 6:

Chief Minister Stalin held discussion with Spain’s top industrirals giants Gestamp, Talgo and Edibon Convinced them of the boundless opportunities in Tamil Nadu, India’s manufacturing powerhouse.

Chief Minister sealed the deal with Edibon, securing a massive investment of Rs. 540 crores. CM had a fruitful discussion with Mabtree, a company engaged in R&D in immunotherapies.

In his twitteracocount, Chief Minister Stalin said, “Wrapped up exhilarating talks with top executives from Spain’s industrial giants – Gestamp, Talgo and Edibon. Convinced them of the boundless opportunities in Tamil Nadu, India’s manufacturing powerhouse. Thrilled to seal the deal with Edibon, securing a massive investment of Rs. 540 crores!

Also had a fruitful discussion with Mabtree, a company engaged in R&D in immunotherapies.

With such fruitful results, I will be departing from Spain tomorrow and longing to see you all after quite a few days, which feel like eternity to me. Stalin took to X to share about his productive meetings with Hapag-Lloyd’s MD Jesper Kanstrup and Director Albert Lorente which reportedly resulted in a significant Rs 2,500 Cr investment in southern TN.

He announced the signing of an MoU for cargo terminals and industrial parks focusing mainly on Thoothukudi and other parts of Tamil Nadu

The CM was also engaged in talks on road infrastructure with Abertis’ International and Institutional Relations Head, Lauro Berjano.

Stalin met with ROCA Group’s Global Director Carlos Velazquez and ROCA India’s MD K Nirmal Kumar and secured Rs 400 crore investment in Tamil Nadu

Earlier, Interacting with the Tamil diaspora in Spain, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin called upon them to extend support to their native Tamil Nadu. He also underlined that the welfare board for non-resident Tamils constituted by the DMK government would undertake assistance to them should they need it.
