T20 World Cup gets new brand makeover

The pinnacle of international cricket just got a vibrant makeover as the ICC T20 World Cup’s new brand identity was launched on Thursday.

The makeover captures the inherent drama in every ball bowled in T20 cricket, renowned for its fast-paced action andhigh-octane moments. The new visual identity captures the format’srelentless energy.

The brand identity incorporates texturesand patterns inspired by the host country for each World Cup edition,including a distinctive pattern paying homage to both the palm trees ofthe West Indies and the ‘stripes’ of the USA – the hosts of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

The logo, a creative fusion of bat, ball, and energy, symbolises the core elements of T20I cricket.

The T20lettering dynamically transforms into a swinging bat, encapsulatedwithin a dynamic ball, an ICC media release said.

The strike graphic within the ball mirrorsthe unique atmosphere and electric energy experienced in T20Is, withthe zig-zag pattern alluding to rising excitement and heart-poundingmoments.

“The ICC Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups promise todeliver an electrifying and edge-of-your-seat experience to cricketfans globally, and we hope the new visual identity reflects that visionand energy,” said Claire Furlong, the ICC General Manager ? Marketingand Communications.

“The incorporation of the distinctivepatterns in the brand will provide hosts with a unique element acrossthe event’s look and feel, “Furlong said.

“We have an exciting six months aheadof us building up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies andUSA, and fans can now register their interest to receive World Cupinformation and ticket news, “Furlong added.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in the West Indies and USA from June 4 to 30.
