Total electorate in T.N. is over 6.18 crore

Sholinganallur highest number of voters, lowest in Kilvelur

As per the integrated final electoral roll of Special Summary Revision, 2024 the total electorate in Tamil Nadu is 6,18,90,348 (Male – 3,03,96,330, Female – 3,14,85,724 and Third Gender – 8,294).

Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo released the integrated final electoral rolls

The Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll, 2024 with reference to 01.01.2024 as the qualifying date commenced with draft publication on 27.10.2023. Claims and objections were received during the period from 27.10.2023 to 09.12.2023.

During the above revision period, 13,88,121 applications for inclusion of names were received and 13,61,888 applications (Male: 6,17,623, Female: 7,43,803 and Third Gender: 462) were admitted and names included.

6,43,307 applications were received for deletion. Out of which 6,02,737 deletions have been made on account of shifting (3,71,537), death (1,33,477) and duplicate (97,723) entries. Correction of entries have been done in respect of 3,23,997 electors (Male: 1,64,487, Female: 1,59,343 and Third Gender: 167).

Also, as per the integrated final electoral roll, the Assembly Constituency with the highest number of electors is 27-Shozhinganallur Assembly Constituency in Chengalpattu district with 6,60,419 electors (Male: 3,30,522; Female: 3,29,783; Third Gender: 114). Next highest is 117-Kavundampalayam Assembly Constituency of Coimbatore district with 4,62,612 electors (Male: 2,29,950; Female: 2,32,538; Third Gender: 124).

On the other hand, the lowest number of electors are in 164-Kilvelur Assembly Constituency in Nagapattinam district with 1,72,140 electors (Male: 84,702; Female: 87,435; Third Gender: 3). Second lowest is 18-Harbour Assembly Constituency of Chennai District with 1,72,624 electors (Male: 89,569; Female: 82,996; Third Gender: 59).

There are 3,480 Overseas electors in the Final Rolls published on 2.01.2024, out of which 71 electors have been enrolled in this Special Summary Revision period.

So far 4,32,805 nos. of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) electors have been flagged in the electoral rolls. Out of the total applications received for inclusion during the above revision period 5,26,205 electors in the age group of 18-19 have been enrolled (Male: 2,74,035; Female: 2,52,096 and Third Gender :74).10. The period of Continuous Updation is in operation now (22.01.2024). All eligible persons who have completed 18 years as on 01.01.2024, but do not find their names in the Electoral Rolls can apply in thefollowing ways:- By visiting the respective offices of the Electoral Registration Officers and submitting Form – 6 , By applying online through www.voters.eci.gov.in III. Through ‘Voter Helpline App” available in google play store.
