In the tranquil landscapes of Belthangady taluk, Dakshina Kannada district, this community of forest dwellers, tribal farmers, and gatherers of minor forest produce has etched its name in the annals of democratic history with an extraordinary feat – achieving a flawless 100 per cent voter turnout in the ongoing Lok Sabha election. Herein lies a tale of resilience, perseverance, and the indomitable spirit of democracy.
Banjarumale is home to a diverse mix of forest dwellers, tribal farmers, and collectors of minor forest produce.
