Top actors Karthi and Jayam Ravi won the audiences as Vandhiyathevan and Arulmozhi Varman in
director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ earlier. Now, the two are busy with the filming of their
respective films ‘Karthi 26’ by director Nalan Kumarasamy and ‘Genie’ by director Bhuvanesh Arjunan.
Exciting news has emerged that Karthi and Jayam Ravi are currently shooting for these films at the same
studio. Yes, the filming of ‘Karthi 26’ and ‘Genie’ is progressing at a brisk pace in the EVP Film City in
Chennai. They are reported to be having so much fun together. A picture of them engaged in a happy
conversation is now doing rounds on the internet.
It is worth mentioning that Krithi Shetty is the leading lady in both films. ‘Karthi 26’ is said to be a peculiar
comedy film about an ardent MGR fan titled ‘Vaa Vaathiyare’, produced by Studio Green. Meanwhile,
‘Genie’ is a fantasy film starring Jayam Ravi, Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Wamiqa Gabbi with
music by AR Rahman.
