‘Narkarappor’ talks about social issues in chess game

The movie Narkarappor is being produced by S.Velayutham on behalf of V6 Film Private Limited. Director Srivetri is directing the film. He worked as an assistant director for H. Vinod, Rajapandi and other directors.

Actress Aparnathi,  plays the female lead, and Ashwin plays the central character of the film. Kabali in the lead role, Lingesh of Pariyerum Perumal fame and Suresh Menon as the villain.

Arjun Ravi, son of popular Malayalam director Major Ravi, and Gnanasekaran will make their debut as cinematographers in Tamil with this film. Dinesh Antony, who has worked with Santhosh Narayanan in several films, is composing the music for this film. Editing by Ranjith CK. Kalai Sriman Raghavan. Songs Kugai Ma Pugahendi. Now the title look and first look of the film is out.

Speaking about Narkarappor director Srivetri said, “This film is based on the game of chess. It talks about the age-old issues between the poor-rich, upper caste-lower caste, politician-people, and the politics that the war between them will continue here until there is no vision to make everything available to all people equally. In the context of the game of chess, the film speaks about how authority is meant to regulate activities and not become an individual attack. How does someone from a scavenging society become a ‘Grand Master’? For that, this ‘Quadruple Battle’ has been developed into a beautiful sports drama that tells about the political, caste and problems he faces,” he says.

It has been shot for almost 40 days in Chennai and Dindigul. Many village people from that area have also acted in this film. As the work for the release of the film is going on at a brisk pace, the trailer release announcement will be made soon.
