Out of this World campaign for T20 World Cup

To mark the official beginning of the 100-day countdown for the event, ICC launched the official campaign film ‘Out of this World’, featuring T20 superstars including Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, Marcus Stoinis, Shaheen Afridi, Shubman Gill and Ali Khan.

The film showcases the various locations of the T20 World Cup games in the West Indies and USA,c apturing the excitement surrounding the tournament.

With just 100 days remaining until the much-anticipated event unfolds from 1 Juneto 29 June, the remaining tickets for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024in the West Indies and USA will now be available on general sale.

After the unprecedented demand for the ballot tickets that went live on February 1, the general tickets for the event will be available from February 22, from 10 a.m. Antigua Standard Time on the T20 World Cup website.

During the ballot period, ICC received over 3 million ticket applications fromo ver 161 countries. Tickets are currently unavailable to all T20 WorldCup matches scheduled in the USA, with the India v Pakistan fixture on June 9 in New York oversubscribed more than 200 times, an ICC report said.

Both semifinals in Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana along with the final in Barbados were also oversubscribed in the ballot but tickets to all otherfixtures in the West Indies will now be up for grabs in the generalsale.

On th eoccasion of the launch of the general sale and the official film launch, ICC chief executive, Geoff Allardice, said, “With just 100 days to gountil the start of the ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2024 there is huge anticipation from fans to witness what will be the largest ICC eventever played, with 20 international teams playing across nine hostcities.

“Celebrating the launch of our official campaign filmthat captures the energy of T20 cricket and features some of the game’sbiggest stars is another important milestone, as excitement build sacross the global cricket community for what will be a historic event.”

Cricket West Indies chief executive Johnny Grave, also expressed delight overthe significant demand for tickets: “With just 100 days to go until the start of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the global excitement isaccelerating at pace and all signs indicate that this World Cup ispoised to make history on multiple fronts. With a significant number ofgames already oversubscribed, it is evident that the global appeal ofT20 cricket is growing exponentially.”
