SNU to equip students with employability skills

Sister Nivedita University (SNU), Kolkata, has announced a strategic collaboration with Employability.life and Federation University Australia to develop cutting-edge programs that equip students with the skills and experience required for success in the global workforce.

This partnership establishes a Future of Work Experience centre at the university, providing students with project-based learning opportunities in Kolkata and Melbourne.

Additionally, a Future of Work Training programme with Federation University will enable students to seamlessly pursue their studies and gain valuable experience across India and Australia, according to a media statement here on Wednesday.

Manish Malhotra, CEO of Employability.life, expressed the significance of this partnership in narrowing the gap between education and employment, “This partnership exemplifies our dedication to bridging the gap between education and employment. By working closely with industry leaders, we can equip students with the practical skills required to excel in the modern workplace.” These initiatives aim to enrich the learning experience and provide students with invaluable insights and guidance from seasoned professionals, empowering them to navigate their career paths with confidence.

Prof .Bentley reiterated the importance of this collaboration in addressing the skills gap among graduates, particularly in light of India’s rapid economic growth and innovation, “This collaboration heralds an international model of agile innovation, adaptable for any high-quality Indian institution.” Dr Malhotra highlighted the close collaboration with employers and industries to identify gaps in graduate skills and experience. Together, they have developed project experiences that enable students to acquire essential preparation for contemporary workplaces.

Upon completion, graduates will be equipped with experiential micro-credentials certified by Federation University Australia, assuring employers of their readiness to seamlessly integrate into the workforce.
