Why should Modi get into more and more mess in desperation?

One of the cardinal rules in politics is to never lie, distort, or make statements that will hit you harshly. It is also stupid to tell lies because lying rarely works and usually makes things worse.  Definitely, the BJP will win for the simple reason that there is no opposition, and Congress’ attempt to bring back another Sonia family member is visibly misfiring.

In their desperation to win the election, both the Congress and the BJP are doing great injustice to the people of India. Both are embarking on fabrication and false statements, which are attracting worldwide attention and critical evaluation. People have really not given any weight to Rahul Gandhi, who, from the beginning, has strongly established himself as an irresponsible and irksome joker rather than a person fit to head India. He was more on a sojourn abroad than present in parliament. In the last few months, he has been doing his best to change this perception. It is not really working.

Modi was on the highest pedestal in India and abroad and had robust charisma. But his election public speeches have just brought him down like lightning. The biggest challenge awaiting Modi is after he assumes office as Prime Minister, a third time. First, he has to reckon with accommodating tainted and criminal politicians who overnight became sleeping buddies with the BJP. Second, he has to prove that corruption and black money have been eliminated or will end in a fixed time frame.

Modi made an unimaginable gaffe at an election meeting in Telangana, saying that Congress should declare how much black money it has taken from Ambani and Adani. He emphatically said, “Shezad” should publicly declare how much money he (Rahul) has taken from both in this election. How can the prime minister of the country make such a statement? Is he confessing that recovering black money was a lie to fool people for votes?

No wonder the public is questioning the PM’s wisdom in making such statements after the completion of three phases of the election. It is no secret that Modi has a soft corner for Ambani and Adani. Now he says they have black money to disperse to Congress (that is the inference of many). This statement has drawn attention across the world, and write-ups are appearing all over.

The London Guardian observes,” Remember that through his ‘Chaar Raaste,’ the Prime Minister has given contracts and licenses worth Rs 4 lakh crore to his cronies in return for their donations.’ This may be a fact. In that case why should Adani or Ambani ever try to give money to Congress, when they are happy with the present government with no chance of any change in 2024? How can the prime minister of the country say that Congress got black money from these billionaires for keeping silence?

The Guardian London on Thursday observed, “With India’s election in full swing, Narendra Modi is getting desperate and dangerous… Modi may still win the election, but the loss will be India’s.” Salil Tripathi. The reason for this observation, which is endorsed by many across the world, is this:

Both Modi and Shah, in their weak or desperate moments, threw out all the principles of the BJP and RSS and played desperate political complacency and maneuver strategy to up their noise on the 400+ sweep. Now that Ambani and Adani have been unnecessarily dragged into the election campaign, the opposition will inflame the issue by demanding a retrospective probe of all the contracts awarded to both.

Modi, instead of ignoring Rahul, tried to hit him and made him a formidable leader.  Modi is simply behaving like another Rahul-losing priority, pointlessly giving too much importance to INDIA Bloc. Why should he give credence to all the hogwash of Rahul Gandhi and respond to it when he has belittled him in public eyes?
