Suriya’s highly anticipated movie ‘Kanguva’ is taking longer than expected to release due to its massive
scale. Additionally, his upcoming films ‘Vaadivaasal’ directed by Vetrimaaran, and ‘Purananooru’ helmed
by Sudha Konagara, are also facing delays for various reasons. There was no clarity on the actor’s
immediate next project.
Suriya and his team have surprised everyone by announcing ‘Suriya 44’ with the highly acclaimed
blockbuster director, Karthik Subbaraj. This mega project will be jointly bankrolled by Suriya’s 2D
Entertainment and Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. A stunning poster was presented by the
makers to announce ‘Suriya 44’ with the tagline, “Love Laughter War”.
The poster features a tree, arrow and soldier’s helmet with a car and fire in the background. Anirudh
Ravichander or Santhosh Narayanan might compose the musical score for ‘Suriya 44’. Tuney John is
going to be the publicity designer for the movie. This film was announced without any prior buzz or hint.
